My name is Edward Butterworth. I live in Victoria, BC. Born in England, I came to Canada in 1974 while on a trip around the World. Enthralled by its natural beauty I chose to stay in BC. I am a photographer and a philosophical memoir and travel writer.
I recently edited a 400-page novel translated by the author, Falah Raheem, from Arabic into English. This is what he wrote about my work:
"Edward Butterworth's editing of my first novel translated into in English proved him to be
a diligent, meticulous and talented editor. His fluency in style and accuracy in expression
lead me to strongly recommend his services to those who seek eloquence and clarity."
I have travelled widely and read a great deal of world literature. This enables me to offer culturally sensitive editing, for clarity, guaranteed to make your writing more readable for a wide audience.
I offer to edit your first chapter free of charge which will enable you to see what I can do with your writing and enable me to assess the depth of editing required. After this we can meet to discuss timeline expectations and rates.
